Gauteng Pallets was established in 1997 by Mr. Maraletse and Mrs. Zeeman in response to a growing industry need for recycled pallets. What began as a small-scale recycling operation quickly evolved, as demand and reputation propelled the business forward. Over the years, the company expanded its services to include the manufacturing of new pallets and boxes, as well as onsite pallet repairs and packing solutions.
A pivotal moment came in 2015 with the retirement of co-founder Janine Zeeman. Tracy, a member of the renowned Thorpe family, acquired a 48% share in the company. Her strategic vision and industry expertise ushered in a new era of growth, transforming Gauteng Pallets into one of the largest pallet manufacturing businesses in the Southern Hemisphere.
